Automotive Technology I
2 semesters - 3 periods
Grades Eligible: 11, 12, Adult
This course is an introduction to shop safety, automotive maintenance, power
plants, electrical braking, steering suspension systems, and maintenance and
light repair. Theory, diagnosis and computerized systems will be emphasized
in all levels of training. In depth book work along with theory and shop work
is expected. Students must have good communication and math skills. Much
emphasis will be placed on Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) guidelines.
Students must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
